Article 1. Definitions

The following terms have the meanings below.

• AetherForge Lab: The operator of the app and website.
• The App: The iOS application Irisrecia provided by AetherForge Lab.
• The Website: The website operated by AetherForge Lab at aetherforgelab.com.
• User: Any person who uses the App or Website.
• Irisrecia Pro: The paid upgrade plan, provided as a permanent license in the App.

Article 2. Application of These Terms

These terms define the conditions for providing the App and Website and the rights and obligations between AetherForge Lab and users. Users shall use the App and Website in accordance with these terms.

Article 3. Use of the App

3.1 Operating environment

The App can be used on iPhone with iOS 17 or later. The operating environment is current as of release and may change in the future.

3.2 License

AetherForge Lab grants users a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App personally, subject to these terms.

3.3 Scope of personal use

The App is intended to support the personal creative activity of scale modeling. These terms do not prohibit commercial use of recipes generated with the App, such as use in a paid painting service, but commercial resale or redistribution of the App itself is not permitted.

Article 4. Prohibited Acts

Users must not engage in the following acts when using the App or Website.

1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals.
2. Decompiling, disassembling, or reverse engineering the App.
3. Copying, modifying, redistributing, sublicensing, lending, or transferring the App.
4. Exploiting vulnerabilities in the App or attempting unauthorized access.
5. Infringing the intellectual property rights, privacy, reputation, or other rights of AetherForge Lab, other users, paint manufacturers, or third parties.
6. Extracting database contents from the App and providing them to third parties.
7. Interfering with operation of the App or Website.
8. Any other act that AetherForge Lab considers inappropriate.

Article 5. Purchases and Irisrecia Pro

5.1 Purchase method

Basic functions of the App are available for free. A paid upgrade plan, Irisrecia Pro, is provided for some extended functions.

5.2 Irisrecia Pro pricing

Irisrecia Pro is provided as a one-time permanent license. The price is as shown on the App Store and payment is made through Apple's billing system.

5.3 Refunds

Refunds after purchasing Irisrecia Pro are handled according to Apple's App Store refund policy. AetherForge Lab does not issue refunds directly. Please contact Apple Support if you wish to request a refund.

5.4 License restoration

Irisrecia Pro is tied to the Apple ID used for purchase. It can be restored on other iOS devices signed in with the same Apple ID.

Article 6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Rights of AetherForge Lab

Copyrights, designs, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights contained in the App and Website belong to AetherForge Lab or their lawful rights holders. These terms do not transfer any such rights.

6.2 Paint manufacturers and related brands

Paint manufacturer names, product names, color numbers, trademarks, and related rights referenced in the App belong to their respective rights holders. AetherForge Lab references such information only within the scope needed to provide App functions. Please refer to the App's About screen or this website for the status of permissions from rights holders.

6.3 Anime works, characters, and related rights

The App does not directly display or distribute anime works, characters, mechanical designs, or similar materials. It provides a function for extracting color information from images personally captured by users. Users are responsible for handling extracted information in a manner that respects the rights of copyright holders.

6.4 User-created recipes

AetherForge Lab does not claim ownership of paint recipe data created by users in the App. Users may use their own recipes freely.

Article 7. Disclaimers

7.1 Color accuracy

The App is developed to support color reproduction using the Lab color space and DeltaE2000 color difference metric. However, color information and mixing recipes are provided as references and do not guarantee perfect color reproduction, because of factors including the following.

• Differences in camera, display, and print color reproduction.
• Lighting, white balance, and exposure at the time of capture.
• Paint lot differences, thinning ratio, and application method.
• Primer, coating, aging, and other changes in color.

7.2 Liability for damages

AetherForge Lab is not liable for damages arising from use of the App, including failed paint mixing, repainting costs for models, or paint purchase costs, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by AetherForge Lab.

7.3 Interruption or termination

AetherForge Lab will make reasonable efforts to operate the App and Website, but services may be temporarily interrupted without notice due to maintenance, system failures, or other unavoidable circumstances. If AetherForge Lab decides to terminate service, notice will be provided with a reasonable period whenever possible.

Article 8. Changes to These Terms

AetherForge Lab may change these terms as necessary. Important changes will be announced on this website. Revised terms apply from the time they are posted on this website.

Article 9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and any disputes related to use of the App or Website are governed by the laws of Japan. The court having jurisdiction over the location of AetherForge Lab shall be the exclusive court of first instance.

Article 10. Severability

If any provision of these terms, or part of a provision, is held invalid or unenforceable under law, the remaining provisions will continue to be fully effective.
