In providing the Irisrecia app and this website, AetherForge Lab follows these principles.
- Minimal data handling: We handle only the information needed to provide app functions.
- Local-first design: Data entered or recorded by users is stored on the device by default and is not sent outside the device.
- Transparency: We explain what data is handled and for what purpose.
- No sale or third-party provision: We do not sell or provide users' personal information or usage data to third parties.
2. Information Handled by the Irisrecia App
2.1 Information stored on the device
Irisrecia stores the following information only on the user's device. This information is not sent to an external server.
- Paint inventory information entered by the user, such as manufacturer, color name, and possession status.
- Recipe data created by the user, such as paint combinations and mixing ratios.
- Color information obtained from the camera or photo library, subject to the app's image handling behavior.
- In-app settings such as language, units, and theme.
2.2 Camera and photo library access
Irisrecia may request permission to access the camera and photo library for color capture functions.
- Images are used only to extract color information.
- Images are not sent to AetherForge Lab servers or external services.
- Users can change access permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
2.3 Purchase information
Purchases such as the Irisrecia Pro upgrade are processed through Apple's App Store system. AetherForge Lab does not directly receive users' credit card information or payment details.
2.4 Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Irisrecia does not include the following.
- Third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics.
- Advertising networks.
- Affiliate advertising.
- User tracking functions.
3. Information Handled by the Website
3.1 Access logs
The hosting provider for aetherforgelab.com may record standard server access logs, such as IP address, browser information, access date and time, and referrer URL, for server operation. AetherForge Lab does not use this information to identify individual visitors.
3.2 Cookies and analytics
This website does not currently use cookies for information collection or analytics tools such as Google Analytics. If such tools are introduced in the future, this policy will be revised and notice will be provided in advance.
3.3 Email inquiries
When a user sends email to info@aetherforgelab.com or hello@aetherforgelab.com, information contained in the email, such as the sender address, message body, and attachments, is used to reply to the inquiry and improve our work. It is not provided to third parties.
4. Retention and Deletion
4.1 App data
Data stored by Irisrecia on the device is retained until the user uninstalls the app or deletes the data through app functions.
4.2 Inquiry records
Email inquiries are retained for the period reasonably necessary for business purposes. If a user requests deletion, we will respond within a reasonable scope.
5. Third-Party Provision
AetherForge Lab does not provide information obtained from users to third parties without the user's consent, except in the following cases.
- When disclosure is required by law or by a public authority.
- When necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain consent.
6. Security Measures
AetherForge Lab takes reasonable security measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of information obtained from users. These measures include the following.
- Providing the website over HTTPS.
- Using strong passwords and multi-factor authentication for email accounts.
- Regular deletion of unnecessary data.
7. Use by Minors
Irisrecia can be used regardless of age. If a minor under 18 uses paid functions, we recommend that a parent or guardian provide consent and manage use through App Store age restriction features or similar controls.
8. Use Outside Japan
AetherForge Lab primarily operates in Japan. Users who access the app or website from outside Japan are responsible for using them in a way that is consistent with local laws.
9. Revisions
AetherForge Lab may revise this policy as necessary. Important changes will be announced on this website. The revised policy applies from the time it is posted on this page.
