About AetherForge Lab

A small personal lab for color tools.

AetherForge Lab builds color tools for scale modelers. Its first product is Irisrecia, an iOS app for paint matching, recipe planning, label scanning, inventory, and saved recipes.

The lab is shaped by years of working with color in physical materials, photographs, printed albums, screens, and model paints.

From ceramic glazes to human skin tones.

The story begins with ceramics, where glaze colors change with clay, heat, humidity, and firing conditions. Later, wedding photography brought another kind of color discipline: skin tones, light quality, and printed color reproduction.

Design and software work added the screen side of color: RGB, HEX, Lab, and numerical color difference. Irisrecia grew out of that same long attention to the distance between the color you want and the color you can actually make.

Back to the model workbench.

Scale modeling makes color wonderfully practical. You are not only choosing a color; you are mixing, thinning, testing, correcting, and trying to repeat it later.

Irisrecia is designed to support that process without replacing the modeler's judgment. It gives the eye a numerical companion, not a command.

Irisrecia is preparing for App Store release.

The app is planned for release on the App Store as Irisrecia.
